Venue 73 is fast becoming one of the North’s Premier Live Music Venues the current owner has changed the face of this imposing building into one of Brighouse brightest hot spots, where you can enjoy a evening of Live Music and a DJ, dance the night away on the Canadian Sprung dance floor, or sit and enjoy the company of friends with a few drink’s, Venue 73 really does have it all!!
Alan and Pauline Olbison bought the building and changed the name making a very successful dance venue and sold the Venue 27 years later due to retirement.
The Building was bought in 1979 by the late Joe Narey, who installed the beautiful Canadian maple sprung dance floor and opened Venue 73 as a ballroom in 1981.
The Casino closed in 1979, but the theatre club continued for a time before 1970 becoming Sammy’s Disco
It was converted into a Bingo Hall but only lasted 10 weeks, it then became The Stardust Casino and Theatre club.
